USM Camp

It’s been a long time since I updated my blog, but I would like to share my December 09 semester break to u guys. During this semester break, I went to Penang USM (Universiti Sains Malaysia) for a Chinese Orchestra Camp in order to join the concert in January.

We went for 3 days 2 nights, which is on the 22nd and came back on the xmas eve. Choon Weng became our “crazy” driver, and Ying Ling, Xi Li, Yik Siang and me, together we went to Penang. Actually the 1st day, we were already late, really paiseh la, made others wait for us… >.<” We were supposed to leave at around 12.30pm or 1pm, but instead we left around after the time, 3.30pm arrived at USM… =.=” So as we arrived, they had a small ice-breaking session, and they gave us 汤圆 as that day is 冬至. The members and the chairman all are very active and friendly. They tried to welcome us and made us feel comfortable. After that, we started our practice, as for Ying Ling and Xi Li, they went looking around USM as it is quite big and many things to explore. XD

That night, we went out to Queensbay Mall for dinner and to find Yik Siang’s pillow which is the most important thing to do… (=.=”) We had our dinner at the T-Bowl Restaurant there as we were damn starving, whole day no energy… The food and drinks there are quite good and we seem to enjoy ourselves there. ^^

The next day, we were supposed to have practice at 8am, but no one confirmed us the time, so we didn’t attend the practice, and made me feel bad again… T.T (Very paiseh…) After we had our breakfast outside, we went back for ensemble practice, and we had lunch outside too, as the journey was quite “painful” for those guys sitting at the back of the car… X.X So we practiced until around 6.30pm and they provided us dinner. Practice resumed at 8.30pm… It was really a whole day….
We went back to our hostel and came out to play game to relax ourselves… ^^

The next morning, we had a short practice which they purposely had it for us… (arigatou!!) then we headed back to Ipoh. We reached Ipoh around 2pm and we went for a tea break at Secret Recipe… ^^
