Hello Penang!!! Here we come again!! It’s the second time we went back to USM for the camp and days after is our first concert with the USM CO members. Looks like fun!! ^^
We went there on Wednesday as the concert is on Friday night. We went down at the same time but we went there late also, but the practice started at 8pm, so no rush… BUT!! It was raining heavily that day… Quite scary leh… X.X Dunno why, since that day, whenever or wherever, Yik Siang and I will scream as we got our “crazy” driver, Mr. Ng Choon Weng!! =.=”’

We arrived at Penang around evening and we fetched Kar Wei and went to Gurney Drive to have dinner. This place is famous for Penang local hawker food, but because we went there a bit early, so some stalls are not opened yet. The practice started at 8pm, so we had to rush back to USM for the practice. It was the first rehearsal, the official rehearsal is the next day. After the practice, I went to Ling Ling’s house to stay overnight. Ling Ling is quite friendly, and I really paiseh for disturbing her… >.<

The next morning, Choon Weng, Yik Siang and me went to Gurney Plaze to watch AVATAR 3D movie and the most importantly, to find black formal clothes for the concert. We’d been searching the whole complex to find the right black clothes as it’s quite hard to find. Finally, we bought them!!! It was exhausting finding it… haha!!! So we also had dinner there at Kim Gary.

The rehearsal supposed to start at 8pm, but some people were late, like us… so they had postponed the time a bit. The full rehearsal took around 2 hr and 30mins as they need to perfect certain procedures. After the rehearsal, we went to McD with Kar Wei, Bao Cheng and Ling Ling for supper and a nice chat. We went home quite late, and surprisingly, the guys slept earlier than both of us gals!!! XD Coz we chatted before we slept until 4am, and we woke up at 8.30am. Wow…!!

We woke up, bathed, and Ling Ling went out to take the tickets 1st, as for me, I packed my luggage and all my things, and went out for breakfast. We also asked Chai Sia, an erhu member to join us breakfast. We went to the hall quite early as we wanted to practice one last time. The full dress rehearsal started at 3pm. After that, we had dinner, prepared, makeup… whatever… So the concert officially started at 8pm.

Firstly was speeches, presentation… then the concert started…. The concert is based on cartoon world where it uses Chinese instruments to perform it. The whole concert sypnosis was interesting. It was a 2 hrs and 45 mins concert, but we did enjoy it….


It was fun!! And tired also as had to go back after the concert. Reached Ipoh around 2am…. Phew!!!
